  • 12 oz chow mein noodles
  • 2 cups cabbage
  • 1 large carrot (julienned)
  • ½ cup green onions
  • 6 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp light sesame oil
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, chicken broth, sugar, and corn starch. Set aside.
  2. Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions; drain and rinse with cold water.
  3. Heat oil in a large wok over medium heat. Add bite-sized chicken strips and cook until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. Sauté carrots, cabbage, and garlic in the same pan for about 3–5 minutes until softened.
  5. Return chicken and noodles to the pan, pour in the sauce, stir well, and cook for another 2 minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve hot garnished with chopped green onions.
