  • 1 cup butter (226 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water (60 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Chocolate chips for topping
  • Additional chopped pecans for garnish

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, sugar, salt, water, and vanilla. Stir until the butter melts.
  3. Cook while stirring frequently until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
